Plot Summary:

“In the Blood” follows the story of Ava, a 26-year-old newlywed, played by Gina Carano. Ava’s husband, Derek Grant (Cam Gigandet), disappears during their Caribbean honeymoon. Determined to find him, Ava embarks on a dangerous journey through a violent underworld of conspiracy hidden in the island paradise.

The film begins with a flashback to Ava’s troubled past. As a 14-year-old girl, she witnesses her drug lord father’s murder and takes matters into her own hands. Fast forward twelve years, and Ava has overcome drug and alcohol addiction. She marries Derek, an affluent man, and they head to a Caribbean island for their honeymoon. Ava’s search for her husband leads her to confront gangsters, kidnappers, and corrupt police. She fights against all odds, using her skills and determination to uncover the truth.
